JANE WILLIAMS: successful aboard the in-form Snowtre

Just two horses lined up for the Members, with Murphys Fusilier from Helen Needham's yard at Broome expected to get the better of his solitary rival Skyhawk, and there was not much between these two horses until the favourite fell at the 10th.
There was compensation for Mrs Needham when Snowtre and Jane Williams ran away with the Ladies Open to win by 10-lengths in a course record time.
With the horse in such good form Mrs Needham stated "I am hoping to persuade my father (Jim Callow) to have an away day at the Torrington Farmers meeting in Devon on the last day of the season".
Bishops Castle-based trainer Emma Muddiman and her brother James teamed up to take the Maiden with Les Griffiths Ben Tally Ho.
The eight-year-old steadily drew clear of his rivals on the second circuit and eventually won by a distance to provide his 30-year-old rider with his first success.
Dave Mansell scored a facile win on Tuesday's Child and this enabled the South Gloucestershire-based rider to land the regional Mens Championship for the second successive year, while Claire Allen returned from injury to secure sufficient points to turn the tables on Himbleton's Angela Rucker, who had one hand on the trophy at the start of the day.
