Bee An Bee: entered in the Mens Open at Charing

As the season approaches mid-way, Point-to-Point fans face an Easter feast with meetings at Charing and Aldington. With Operation Stack now stood down, organisers at both venues are expecting large crowds as competition for the Area Riders' Championships hots up.

Current leader Stuart Robinson has entered Bee An Bee, winner of this year's Kent Grand National, in the Men's Open at the Ashford Valley meeting at Charing on Easter Saturday, where Heaven Is Above is amongst his likely opponents. Charing, where admission prices start at £20 per car (with a £10 reduction for single occupancy) expects good ground and the first race is at 2.00pm. The main action is preceded by pony racing at 12.45pm.

Leading the Area Lady Riders' Championship is Heather Kemp, who hopes to run her Godstone winner Nathos in the East Kent Ladies' Open on Easter Monday. The same race has been targeted by connections of Carryonharry, last year's champion horse, who was ridden to victory on his seasonal debut at Godstone by Cynthia Haydon. Heather Kemp will also ride Saddlers Cloth in the Confined, while Honourable Spider and Peter Bull are expected to continue their winning ways in the Men's Open. Aldington's going is provisionally good to soft, the first race is at 2.00pm and the price of admission is £25 per car (with a £10 reduction for single occupancy).
