05 May 2011 Preview: Bilsdale - Easingwold
by Charlotte Brader
A total of 99 entries have been received for the seven race card at Easingwold on Saturday 7th of May. The first race, the Hunt Members race, is at 2.00pm and the course is being watered from Monday 2nd May to produce safe racing ground and hopefully plenty of runners.
Dodson & Horrell are supporting the Point-to-Point Owners and Riders Association Club Members race which is restricted to novice riders who have not won more than three races before the season started. Mister Quasimodo has been running consistently well for Jack Greenall this year, however Blandings Castle returned to winning form at Bedale shortly before coming second at the York & Ainsty meeting at this course a fortnight ago and can get his head in front again for his pilot Gemma Tutty.
Only twelve have been entered for the Mixed Open; Oaklands Bobby won a good race at Mordon, however there is no reason why Over To Joe cannot win here for the second time this year.
In the Confined race Knoxhill Archie will take the beating. He loves this course and came third here at the last meeting and can improve again.
There are two Maiden races, the second race on the card is restricted to four, five, six and seven year olds and the last race is an Open Maiden.
The postcode for satellite navigation is YO61 3PS and the admission is £10 per person with accompanied under 16s admitted free.
