20 April 2010 Strong Catalogue For First Brightwells Cheltenham Hunter Chase Meeting Sale

Brightwells Auctioneers are delighted with the quality of horses to be catalogued for the first sale to be staged alongside the Cheltenham Hunter Chase Meeting on Wednesday 5th May.
The sale commences at 11.00am and creates an extra dimension to what is already a great evening's racing.
The catalogue has attracted 122 entries including Wild Cards, with leading Trainers Paul Nicholls, Alan King, Charlie Mann, Donald McCain and Gary Moore etc offering consignments alongside winning and placed Point-to-Pointers from the UK and Ireland.
The largest draft comes from Charlie Mann with 11 entered including Moon Over Miami, one of the very few horses to beat Big Bucks, as well as Voltigger Hill, a winner of a bumper in December and placed to the runaway Weatherbys Champion Bumper winner Que Card when giving him 18lbs. Alan King's draft include Nenuphar Collonges, the impressive seven time winner incl. the Albert Bartlett Spa Novice Hurdle Grade 1 at Cheltenham and 3rd in the William Hill Trophy Grade 3 at Cheltenham. Gary Moore has entered Fix The Rib, the seven-year-old chaser who was third in this year's Game Spirit Chase Grade 3 at Newbury in February.
The catalogue also includes a strong representation of 50 winning and placed Point-to-Pointers including the ultra-tough Blue Signal, a five-year-old winner of his last two starts at Loughanmore and Kirkistown, the Old Vic five-year-old Old Wigmore, winner of his Maiden at Killmallock on 18th April and Buck Magic, also a the four-year-old winner of his Maiden on 18th April at Killmallock who was also second to Prince Among Kings, subsequently sold for £95,000 at Brightwells Cheltenham April Sale.
Following the success of Tom Lacey's Loose Preformer selling for £80,000 at the Cheltenham April Sale after winning his Open Maiden at Larkhill, the catalogue has received strong support from the Point-to-Point yards in the UK including winners Princess Fyona, the five-year-old winner of her last two starts and the impressive Coral Point, winner of his Maiden and Restricted both by 15 lengths at Barbury and Higham respectively.
