27 April 2010 High Quality Wild Card Entries Announced For Brightwells Cheltenham Hunter Chase Meeting Sale

Brightwells new Hunter Chase Meeting Sale, commencing at 11.00am on Wednesday 5th May prior to racing, has attracted a further 32 additional winning and placed entries alongside the main catalogue. 

Amongst the Wild Card entries is a quality draft of six horses from Howard Johnson's White Lea Farm Stables, including the exciting Novice Chaser Passport Control by Kayf Tara, the three-time winning seven-year-old Marleybow by Presenting, Logans Run who has been placed second on his last three starts in Novice Chases, Pemberton a winner of his Novice Chase at Sedgefield on 26th March and Akilak, who was third in the Trophy Handicap Chase Grade Three at Cheltenham.

Nicene Creed, a five-year-old by Hernando who ran a very impressive second to Backspin in what is thought to be one of the best Irish bumpers this year, the Irish Sun INH Flat Race at Punchestown Festival, on his debut should create much interest. He is offered by Kennycourt Stud who sold this year's Supreme Novice Hurdle winner Menora.

A further 11 Point-to-Pointers have been entered all of whom have won or been placed over the last two weekends, including the impressive four-year-old Ashtown Boy, the winner of the four-year-old Maiden at Ballysteen on 25th April; he is offered by Willie Slattery's Meadowview Stables who sold Cooldine and Quel Esprit and realised £260,000 and £162,000 for his two Point-to-Pointers at the recent Cheltenham April Sale.

Other Point-to-Point winners include Lord Alfie, the winner of his six-year-old Maiden at Dromahane last weekend and Bunglasha Lady the seven length winner of her fve-year-old Maiden at Dromahane; she is out of a half-sister to Torduff Express. Twentypoundluck won his five-year-old old Maiden at Oldcastle on 25th April, Norwich Well was the impressive five length winner of his five-year-old Confined at Dromahane the same day; Castle Morton is the winner of two Point-to-Points, his winner's race at Kirkistown in March and again a winner at Largy at the weekend. Mad King Oskar was third in his restricted at Woodford on 24th April and previously won his Maiden at Kingston St Mary on 5th April.
