Callow Oils is to sponsor the Chaddesley Corbett Championship, which will cover all five meetings at the Worcestershire course during the 2009/10 Point-to-Point season.

The sponsoring company was founded in 1969 by Jim Callow, who is a familiar figure at most West Midlands meetings, where horses trained by his daughter Helen Needham have enjoyed considerable success over the last decade.

Preparations are progressing well for the Harkaway Club fixture at the end of December. A lot of work has been done on the course and it has been widened so there will be fresh ground for the Worcester meeting in mid-April. There is a good grass cover and the open ditch has been moved back so that it is nearer the road.

The Albrighton will also race at Chaddesley Corbett this year, making five fixtures at this popular Worcestershire venue. This has led to the introduction of a "Chaddesley Corbett Season Pass". It will cost non-members of the Harkaway Club £75 but £60 to Paid Up Members. This provides a considerable saving and will allow access to all five meetings at Chaddesley Corbett.
