Two days after riding her 100th winner at Black Forest Lodge, Charlotte Tizzard has been sidelined with a broken fibula sustained in a schooling fall.
"I thought I'd probably twisted my ankle," she explained, "but as I was meant to be riding at Cottenham on Sunday, I rode out the next morning. It was quite painful, so I went to the doctor, and I'd broken a bone in my leg."
The leg is currently in plaster, but Charlotte hopes to be back riding in about four weeks, and has the PPORC meeting at Barbury as her comeback target.
In the meantime, she is still supervising the string of Pointers she trains. "It feels strange not riding out, but I'm able to boss everybody about," she laughed.
