Sunday's fixture at Great Trethew near Liskeard is the second to take place at the venue this season and the eight race card comes under starters' orders at 1.30pm.
The course always attracts a large entry, particulary of Maiden horses who have yet to win a race; Sunday's meeting is no exception.
The Open Maiden over 2m6f for horses aged four, five, six or seven has been split into three divisions. In the first , horses with bits of form this season include Glorious Gin, Quickly Origny and Sobre Tresor.
In the second division the chestnut mare Floral Patches, who is owned and trained by Mike Trickey, could go one better than on her pleasing debut at Taunton Vale earlier in the month when she finished second.
The 12 Entries in the Mens Open include the ever-popular Soutwestern, who has won twice this season, Dare Too Dream who won at the course a month ago and the veteran Quizzling, who has won three starts this season.
Theatre Diva unseated her Rider in the Christie's Foxhunter at the Cheltenham Festival but she's a game mare who runs consistently well and she could go close in the Ladies race.
The Open Maiden for horses aged eight and over has received 13 Entries including Nobetter Buachaill and Joisah Bay, who keeps knocking at the door of success.
The Intermediate is a qualifier for the final at Exeter Racecourse on May 3rd and Entries include the Sam Holdsworth-traind Turning Tide, who won a restricted at Wadebridge three weeks ago.
Concluding the card is a Restricted race with 14 Entries including Acting Tougher, who has been first and second this season, as well as course winner Sarika who will be popular in the betting if he behaves himself and doesn't duck out through the wings again as he did at Trebough Hill earlier in the month.
Great Trethew is situated off the A38 between Saltash and Liskeard and as well as the racing there will be bookies, catering, a licensed bar and trade stands.
Entrance is £10 per car and driver, £20 per car and all occupants. For those with sat nav, the postcode is PL14 3PZ.
