Britain's most westerly Point-to-Point course at St Columb Major near Newquay is the location for Saturday's meeting and the popular track has received a bumper entry.

Six races make up the card, three of those are specifically for maiden horses so a future star could be unveiled. A race for four, five, six and seven-year-old horses and geldings who have yet to win a race run is the first on the card which kicks off at 2pm and with 23 entries competition is sure to be furious. It's run over 2m4f and there are plenty of horses entered with bits of form including Bernie The Banker, Grandpas Gone Grey, Tom Bach and Costard.

The Intermediate looks sure to be competitive with Cherrybrook winner Busy Buzzard among the entries. That form has been firmly franked with second placed Eternal Midnight since winning at Flete Park. Also entered is hat-trick seeking Montenda, trained in Cornwall by in-form Roma Cook and Grand Bretagne.

Ed Walker and Polly Gundry have two entered in the mares' Maiden who both have a good chance following their second places at the track earlier this month - Karrot Kake and Flying Whale.

Restricted entries include Super Lady, a winner at Buckfastleigh, and the consistent Bathwick Shannon.
Open maiden entries include Gunna Be A Devil, who was just touched off in a thrilling maiden at Upcott Cross a couple of weeks ago, and Will Scarlet who is improving with every run.

Entries in the Mixed Open include Whizzaar who is sure to gain plenty of support following his win at Ascot in a Hunter Chase last month. Front running tactics have transformed the horse. Also entered is Rockwithacaveman who has been a hugely consistent this season but suffered a shock defeat at the course last time out when contesting the Cornish National.

The course is situated off the A30 at Indian Queens for Newquay A392, one mile south west of St Column Major. Entrance is £20 per car, £10 per car and one driver. First race is off at 2pm.
