The Four Burrow Point-to-Point races will take place at Trebudannon on Easter Monday (April 5th). The seven-race card has attracted a total entry of 126 at this popular holiday fixture.
The Hunt race gets proceedings under way at 1.00pm. Last year's winner of this race, Wee Fly, can again be opposed by Jaunty Janner, runner-up in this event for the past two seasons. Peggy's Boy may prove best of their nine opponents.
Southwestern bids to get back on the winning trail in the Mixed Open over 3m4f. Recent Newbury Hunter Chase winner Joaaci stays well, as does Stone Valley who ran well at Kilworthy. Polly Gundry can choose between last week's Maisemore Park winner Carrie On and Rockwithacaveman.
The Confined boasts a number of in-form Pointers. Glacial Call has won her last four races, but this is a tough assignment with the likes of Alambique, Henri Prends Garde, Karinga Coin, The Boss Roche and dual winner Jayjay Valentine amongst the opposition.
The 25 Entries for the Restricted also pose quite a puzzle. A host of recent winners include Bowntobebad, Lucette Annie, My Nicole, She's Alright, Stitchnick and Weather Permitting.
The 2m4f Maiden for four- to seven-year-olds has been divided; Cornish Ice was just touched off on his debut over this trip at Great Trethew and should go well in the first division. In the other section, Misstree Pitcher can make up for her unlucky fall at Cothelstone when she appeared to be in command.
The 3m Open Maiden features 29 Entries. The Leslie Jefford-trained Delta Borget finished ahead of two subsequent winners when runner-up at Ottery and had experience under Rules in France. Cock of the Rock gave notice of future success when staying on steadily at Buckfastleigh and is worth keeping an eye on.
The course at Trebudannon is situated 5 miles east of Newquay, near the A39 close to St Columb Major (TR9 4LP). Entrance costs £20 per car and passengers with a £10 concession for a single driver.
