18 March 2008 Four Burrow - Trebudannon

Four of A Kind: easy Great Trethew winner last time

One o'clock is the start time for the Four Burrow meeting at Trebudannon on Monday where seven races will take place at the course which has one of the best natural grandstands in the country.

There are nearly 120 entries and as well as some decent horses entered, there are various tradestands, catering, bookmakers and a Tote.

A feature on the card is the Cornish National, run over three and a half miles and a qualifier for the Volkswagen Touareg Men's Open Final at Towcester in May.

Stamina will be required among the 12 entries who have already done their fair share of winning this season. They include Doof, a winner at Wadebridge on Saturday, Great Trethew victor Dare To Dream, Dad Says Heazle and Rockwithacaveman who is bidding to make it five out of five this season.

The Members race begins the day's action and Ross Oliver has two entries - the prolific winner Lets Fly and Wee Fly, placed twice this season.

The Maiden has been divided and in the first division there will be plenty looking at Oceans who was an eye-catching runner at Buckfastleigh. Present of Flame is another entry who can only improve with experience.

In the second division Reflector could travel south for trainer Maz Scudamore, and that's a clue in itself. Lourd Hym is another who may improve. He cantered back to the lorry park at Ideford Arch, having dumped his rider, and still came third once the pair were reunited.

Confined entries include Fort of Gold and easy Great Trethew winner Four of A Kind.

The Open Maiden has 27 runners including King of the Road and Cardinal Sinn, second at Buckfastleigh.
