The Glamorgan Hunt stage their rearranged Point-to-Point races at Ystradowen near Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan on Saturday.

Racing gets under way at 1.00pm with the Members race, which has been revived after a number of years. In the past, members competed for the Fred Williams Cup and Fred Williams was the popular starter at Cardiff's Ely Racecourse and the father of Evan Williams, who won the 1936 Gold Cup on the legendary Golden Miller and again in 1940 on Roman Hackle. Evan also won the 1937 Grand National on Royal Mail.

There are eight Entries for this race and Robert Thomas's Micks Prospect might prove too speedy for Rhiannon Thomas's Stroom Bank.

Of the 21 down to run in the young horse Maiden, David Brace's French-bred O'Rage, who was brought down at the
second fence at the Teme Valley, has Cranemore, Hocinall and Powerful to beat.

There are only 12 Entries for the older horse Maiden and Ian Brice's Cool Cliche, who showed promise when racing under Rules, will not have a better chance of losing his Maiden tag. Little Miss Monty and Bunny McDougall, who finished second to Master Charm at the South Pembrokeshire, could take the minor placings.

Samantha Butler's Liberty Rock, who gave 17-year-old Evan David his first winner when scoring at the Teme Valley, will be fancied to take the PPORA Club Members race, for which there are 15 Entries. Humbel Origins and Seaniethesmuggler are two others to note.

There are 19 Entries for the Mixed Open and T. W. C. Edwards's What Of It will be one of the fancied ones if facing the starter. However, David Evans's mare Makena won one of the best Open races seen in Wales for some time when beating Warsaw Pact by half-a-length at the South Pembrokeshire on Easter Monday; if brought out
again he is sure to prove hard to beat. Keith Pritchard's Chandlers Cross looks to be amongst best of the others.

Luke Price's Red Watch and Sian Chamberlain's Longwood Law are two to watch out for in the 26-strong Restricted race. The later was not disgraced when finishing runner-up to the useful Rimini at the South Pembrokeshire.
