It's Hunter Chase season again, with the first race of the season, at Wincanton this afternoon, looking like a competitive affair.
A strong field of 16 line up for the Stewart Tory Memorial, a Class 6 contest over 3m1f110y, including popular West Country Pointer Whizzaar, last season's talented Hunter Chase winning giant Gentle George, Classic Point-winning Distant Thunder and Jayne's Crusader, who made a winning Pointing debut for Sally Alner last month.
Also in the field are Charles Fox's Turthen and the talented Ornais, returning for Paul Nicholls after a lay-off of 790 days, as well as former Welsh Grand National winner Halcon Genelardais, as well as Moncadou from the Jonjo O'Neill yard.
