The Holcombe Hunt has attracted a bumper entry of 154 for their meeting at Whittington, near Kirkby Lonsdale, this Sunday April 25thth 2010.

Prior to racing there will be two pony races taking place at 1.00pm and at 1.30pm.
Racing comes under starter's orders at 2.00pm with the Intermediate contest. The first horse past the judge is eligible for the £7,000 Connollys Red Mills Intermediate Hunter Chase Final at Cheltenham on Wednesday May 5th 2010.
Heading the 25 Entries is the Belinda Clarke-trained The Howardian,; the Zaffaran gelding is unbeaten in both his starts at Bangor-on-Dee and Garnons this season. Others to note include the Pamela Brisbourne-trained Cnocan Aoibhinn who beat the red hot jolly Amalfi Storm by eight lengths at Hutton last season.
Echo India, from the Chester yard of Trainer Will Kinsey, was the nominated dark horse from the stable at the start of the season; the son of Anshan has gone down narrowly on both starts at Tabley and Bangor-on-Dee. Others to note with winning form include the Sheila Crow-trained My Flora, as well as Kings Among Queens, Lorikard, Northern Revoque and Silk Parasol. This looks a cracking Intermediate race in prospect.
The concluding contest at 5.45pm is the PPORA Club Members race, this race commemorates the late Angela Beardsworth who was the Entries Secretary for the Holcombe Hunt for many years.
