The Holcombe Hunt has attracted a bumper entry of 152 for their meeting at Whittington, Nr Kirkby Lonsdale this Sunday April 26th.
Clerk of the course Chris Hodgson lists the going as Good on Monday April 20th. Speaking earlier today, he said, "We will start watering today and will continue to water as necessary to ensure good ground for our fixture."
Racing comes under starters orders at 2.00pm with the Intermediate contest. The first horse past the judge is eligible for the £7,500 Connollys Red Mills Intermediate Hunter Chase Final at Cheltenham on Wednesday May 6th 2009.
The concluding at 5.30pm is the PPORA Club Members race, this race commemorates the late Angela Beardsworth, who was the entries secretary for the Holcombe Hunt for many years.
Admission to this popular Cumbrian course is only £25 per car, regardless of the number of passengers, single occupancy will be charged at £15.
