Carryonharry: took his career tally to 17 races by landing the Ladies' Open
The Sandhurst Area Point-to-Point season was brought to a close at Hackwood Park on yesterday afternoon. The Hursley Hambledon meeting, returning to Hampshire after a long period in Dorset, attracted 36 runners including the prolific winner Carryonharry
A raider from the South East Area, the 14 year old easily won the Ladies' Open race bringing his seasonal tally to four. "Carryonharry has been beaten only three times in his career, and he has always been ridden by Cynthia Hayden", said owner Heather Silk. "His 17 successes include two hunter chases and now he will finish off the season at Stratford at the end of the month".
Alresford trainer, Victoria Collins, saddled Dr Flight to win the Hunt Members race under Rilly Goschen, while Godfrey Maundrell scored a bloodless victory in the Veteran & Novice Riders race on Rhythm King following his win at Hackwood three weeks earlier.
