Viv Grundy, the hard working Secretary of this meeting, has been rewarded for all her efforts with a massive entry of 246 for Sunday's fixture.
There are 12 more meetings scheduled for this weekend but none of them comes close to matching that total and with the course expected to be in perfect condition after last weekends rain this should ensure a big turn out.
The natural grandstand provides a perfect view of the racing, which takes place on the banks of the River Severn so this is the place to be on Sunday afternoon.
Nothing pleases Clive and Eileen Bennett more than having a winner at their home meeting so trainer Emma Alvis will be pulling out all the stops at their Dymock stables to try and ensure this criteria is met.
Balinova fell when upsides Desert Tommy at the penultimate at Whitwick recently. That horse won again on Sunday, which advertises Balinova's chances in the Members.
Strong Weld finished behind Maranach when they met at the North Hereford but he is fancied to turn the tables this time around. He had little more than an exercise gallop when scoring at Howick recently and could get the meeting off to a winning start for Owner/Rider Rhys Jenkins and trainer Nicky Sheppard.
The Bennett/Alvis partnership is represented by Il Marinaio in the Restricted and the horse showed his well being by finishing second two weeks ago. He is bound to come on for that run but will be pushed all the way by Getyouracttogether, Haveyoubeen, Jolly Rock and The Partalonian.
The West Midland Area Club has attracted some very good horses so the winner will need to be at the top of their form to succeed. Caught at Dawn, Deep Hall, Niver Bai, Rocklandslad, Sweden and William Somers are just a few who catch the eye, while Bennett's Raleagh House will be fancied on the strength of his record breaking run at Didmarton.
Bennett can choose between Ashwell Lad and Labarynth in the Intermediate and both of them are good enough to succeed in this contest, while Emmet Hotel, History Master, Jacko's Boy and Ned the Post will be vying for the runners up spot.
Ruairi won a Mens Open for Bennett earlier in the year but has been unplaced in a Hunter Chase since that victory so the Mixed Open provides the perfect opportunity for him to get back into the winners enclosure. Jaunty Times had useful form under rules for Henry Daly and might be the one for the forecast.
