08 April 2009 Preview: Ludlow - Bitterley
The Ludlow Hunt are expecting the usual bumper crowd for their popular Point-to-Point on Easter Saturday at Bitterley.
Secretary, Belinda Edwards has received 180 entries for the seven races on the card, and is really looking forward to seeing her own in-form gelding, The Howardian contest the Restricted event with Adam Wadlow. Having been placed at Chaddesley Corbett prior to winning at Bangor-on-Dee, The Howardian has a good chance of rewarding Belinda for all her hard work for the fixture.
"There's a great covering of grass on the course, and with rain promised, it should be perfect jumping ground by Saturday," she reported
The course situated on beautiful Shropshire farmland at Bitterley, boasts magnificent viewing with a natural grandstand, and a fine selection of trade stands.
The first race is scheduled for 1.30 pm and the course can be found just off the A4117 four miles north-east of Ludlow.
