05 February 2008 Mid Surrey Farmers Draghounds - Godstone

The Mid Surrey Farmers Draghounds are holding their meeting this Sunday, 10th February at Godstone with the first of 6 races starting at 12.30pm. This will be preceded by pony racing at 11am.

Traditionally, the Drag have held their fixtures at Charing, but this year they have changed to Godstone which is easy to get to, being only a few miles off the M25 at junction 6.

There are quality entries for each of the six races. In the Ladies Open Heaven Is Above is certainly worth following after his recent win at Detling, but the danger could come from Millenium Way if he is back to form after his win earlier this season at Ampton.

Old Kilminchy is working well at home and could take the Mens Open. For the Members race Jack's Present looks the bet of the day having been an easy winner at Barbury Castle in mid-January.

Another impressive winner this season was Merry Vic, at Larkhill last month, and he should be able to repeat this form to take the Intermediate.
