KING DU BERLAIS: could capitalise on the likely absence of Mid Div And Creep

A big entry of 121 horses has been received for the Saturday April 10th Puckeridge Point-To-Point at Horseheath.
Six races are scheduled, beginning at 2.00pm and running through until 5.20pm but early birds will be able to watch two children's pony races, which come under orders at 1.00pm.
There is an hour long gap between the fourth and fifth races to allow spectators to get involved with the Grand National. Commentary of the big race from Aintree will be transmitted over the tannoy and there will be a television in the beer tent tuned in to the BBC coverage of the event.
The 24 Entries for the Mens Open Race include both Caveman and Rydal Park, who fought out a titanic duel at Marks Tey last month before Rydal Park prevailed by a short head. Also engaged is Horsham Lad, who was an impressive winner at the last Horseheath meeting, along with recent Cottenham scorer Lotta Presents, who will probably run in the opening Club Members Race instead as the standard of his 11 potential rivals there is considerably lower than in the Open.
The Ladies Open has 17 possibles and with Mid Div And Creep unlikely to have recovered from her brilliant Easter Monday success in time to put her unbeaten Horseheath record on the line, King du Berlais from the in-form Joe Turner yard may take advantage.
The Turner string produced four winners over the Easter weekend and they may further increase their tally in the Intermediate Race, as Native Bob stands out among the 16 entries.
Horseheath is four miles west of Haverhill (post code CB21 4QF) with easy access straight off the A1307. Admission will be charged at £10 per head with under 17s free.
