Philip was a prolific pony race winner - his father, Richard, sponsors the Wessex Area Pony Races - and has ridden one winner from six rides on the Flat, after initially being denied an amateur licence by the BHA due to a hearing disability. This was a just reward for the Brader family who had the favourite Skew Whip in the Mens Open but was pulled up lame after a circuit. Duchess Account will be put in foal at the end of the season but not before contesting the prestigious Grimthorpe Gold Cup in which there would be no more popular winner. READ MORE
