ROULEZ COOL: currently favourite for the Christie's Foxhunter
With just one week to go until the Cheltenham Festival Christie's Foxhunter, a number of popular Point-to-Pointers are being aimed at the race to try to keep the prize in the Amateur ranks for another year following Cappa Bleu's sensational victory in 2009.
Currently heading the market for the race is Robert Waley-Cohen's Roulez Cool, a Listed winner in France in the past who has made a great start to his Point-to-Point career, winning both starts so far.
Footage of both of Roulez Cool's Mens Open victories - at the Royal Artillery and the Harkaway Club - can be viewed on our exclusive Point-to-Point Video Channel, Viewpoint; the only place to see footage of British Point-to-Point racing on the internet.
Also featured on Viewpoint is Sericina, one of the leading fancies for the big race after her impressive Hunter Chase victory at Taunton; prior to that, she scored imperious victories between the flags at the North Cornwall and the South Pool Harriers - both of which have been supplied to Viewpoint.
Cowboyboots landed two Mixed Opens in convincing fashion this season before stepping up to Hunter Chase class himself and claiming Haydock's Walrus Hunters' Chase; his wins at the South Pool Harriers and the Black Forest Club are also available on Viewpoint, as in the Mid Devon Open win of Joaaci, a performance which lends further credibility to Sericina's big-race claims as the ex-Pipe inmate was second to the mare at the South Pool Harriers.
Other possible runners at Cheltenham who can be seen on exclusive Viewpoint footage include Cedrus Libani, Chilling Place, Theatre Diva and Drybrook Bedouin, making the Channel not only fascinating viewing for all Point-to-Point enthusiasts but also a valuable betting tool for the rest of the Pointing and Hunter Chase seasons.
