Gina Andrews reached 500 winners in all forms of racing when riding at Horseheath in Cambridgeshire this afternoon.
Andrews reached the half millennium when winning on Fairly Famous, who she also trains (pictured above after he had won at Cheltenham in the spring. Andrews is standing next to co-owners Adam Signy and Simon Marriage).
The latest landmark was reached two days after she rode her 400th winner in British point-to-points alone. That milestone was achieved at Chaddesley Corbett on Sunday.
Andrews’ 500 score comprises 402 British point-to-points, 88 under rules over jumps (including bumpers), seven on the Flat in Britain, two Irish point-to-point wins and one Irish winner under rules. The last-named of those victories came in a ladies' bumper at Killarney in May 2017 when she won on the Sam Curling-trained debutant Summerville Boy. Less than a year later he won the Gr.1 Tolworth Hurdle and Gr.1 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle after being sold to Roger Brookhouse and moved to Tom George’s yard.

Another impressive winner from British point-to-pointing
No Drama This End made a deep impression when making his debut under rules and winning the final British race of 2024, the bumper at Warwick this afternoon.
Now trained by Paul Nicholls and ridden by Harry Cobden, the four-year-old won smoothly from the Dan Skelton-trained 6/5 favourite Keops Des Bordes, who was a ready winner of his only Irish point-to-point at Loughanmore in April.
No Drama This End (Will Biddick) on his way to an easy victory at Badbury Rings in April
Formerly trained by Will Biddick, No Drama This End was a mightily impressive winner of his sole point-to-point when landing a maiden race at Badbury Rings in April under his then trainer. Biddick had bought the grey gelding for €26,000 at Goffs’ Arkle Sale as an unbroken three-year-old, but after his pointing win he sold him at Tattersalls Cheltenham’s Festival Sale to Nicholls and bloodstock agent Tom Malone for £160,000 .
