Online coverage of British point-to-pointing on the Racing Post website has now become free to view.
It is also now available on the Racing Post mobile app which is free to download via the App Store.
Published each Friday, the content has in recent years been available only to subscribers to the website. However, following a new agreement with Racing Post editor Tom Kerr and features editor Dylan Hill the coverage is now available to everyone with a smart phone, laptop or home computer via racingpost.com.
Jake Exelby of the Point-to-Point Authority says: “This is a most welcome development which will help carry the sport to a wider audience and continue to engage those already involved. We are grateful to the Racing Post for its continued backing of British point-to-pointing.”
The weekly coverage is written by Carl Evans and includes interviews with people in the sport, news updates and a look ahead to the weekend’s action.
Friday’s Racing Post newspaper carries a slimmed-down version of the article, while the paper’s Saturday and Sunday editions carry that weekend’s fixtures with entry numbers, first-race times and postcodes.
A brief version of the Racing Post article is subsequently posted on this website six days later.
